This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it goes to. It is written to describe what the software actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.
The game has no accounts, asks for no personal details, and collects nothing about you unless you choose to type a name and use the multiplayer features. If you never set a name, nothing about you leaves your device.
Your progress, settings, chosen boat, graphics preference and display name are saved locally on the device. They are not transmitted anywhere by the app itself and are removed when you uninstall it.
These features are optional and only operate once you have entered a display name. When they are in use the app sends:
Your device's IP address is necessarily visible to the server it connects to, as it is for any internet connection.
Leaderboard and multiplayer data is sent to a server operated privately by the developer, not to a commercial cloud service. It is held only so the leaderboard and the list of online players can work. Position data is held in memory for a few seconds and is never written to disk. Presence entries expire within a minute of you stopping play.
Data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or any other purpose.
The Android version shows an occasional full-screen advert after a completed level, supplied by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and similar information in order to serve and measure adverts. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and by the AdMob terms at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543. The developer receives no personal data from Google as a result. The Windows version contains no advertising.
The app connects to a Concept2 PM5 rowing monitor over Bluetooth or USB in order to read your rowing data. Android requires Bluetooth permission for this. The connection is used solely to talk to the rowing machine: no scanning results, device lists or other Bluetooth information are collected, stored or transmitted.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it.
This section explains how to have your data deleted from ERG of War: Rowing Simulator.
Email pokyyyyydgitu@googlemail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and tell us the display name you used in the game. That name is the only thing linking any stored data to you, so we cannot find your records without it. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
On request, we permanently delete:
Nothing else is kept. There are no accounts, no email addresses, no payment details and no contact information stored by the game.
Leaderboard scores are kept indefinitely so the board remains meaningful over time, and are removed on request as described above. All other data expires automatically within seconds, as listed.
Progress, settings and your display name are stored on your device and are removed completely when you uninstall the app. No request is needed.
